Course details
This is the final and core unit for the Advanced Clinical Practice integrated degree apprenticeship. The unit is aligned to the Institute for Apprenticeship (IfATE 2018) Advanced Clinical Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard.
By the time the apprentice completes the end point assessment, which is the summative assessment for this unit, they will have been able to demonstrate that they meet all the knowledge, skills, behaviours and values expected as an advanced clinical practitioner.
By the time the apprentice undertakes the end point assessment, they will also have successfully completed 160 credits of the MSc ACP Apprenticeship. The EPA is therefore designed to provide synoptic assessment of the achievement knowledge, skills, behaviours and values. The EPA unit can only be completed following confirmation from the employer that you meet the requirements of the apprenticeship agreement and knowledge, skills and behaviours from the standards have been met within your workplace.
The employer will also be required to confirm your readiness to progress to EPA and fulfilment of the gateway criteria.
